According to media reports on November 23, California implemented a new home order this week, and non-essential work and gatherings must be stopped from 10pm to 5am. However, the California Department of Health considers Tesla (TSLA.US) employees to be “indispensable workers” in California, so it grants Tesla immunity. That is, Tesla’s factory in Fremont, California can operate as before.

It is reported that Tesla’s Fremont factory is built in Alameda County. Alameda County can issue a restriction order again on top of the California guidance plan, but it has not done so so far. On November 16, the Health Department of Alameda County stated in a statement that due to the surge in cases, the county has reached the highest “purple” epidemic prevention level. In order to prevent the spread of the virus, Alameda County may further tighten restrictions.
